Let me start off by asking you a few questions, Do you know how valuable you are in the eyes of The King? Do you know your place in His Kingdom? Do you know that you bring something to this world that nobody else brings?
I thank Jesus that we are all uniquley made. That we all are made to serve a purpose. That we are all gifted and we are all called to be one, so that we may serve one another in order to bring the fullness of Heaven to earth. For we are not all the same, but we are called to be one. Just as our body is made up of many components, they all serve one another to help make a functioning, workable, useful body. I think I am safe to say that we all know what is feels like when something is not right in our body, when one part is struggling and other things try to step up to help, to take it’s place, to heal it, restore it and still bring about a functioning body. But even when everything else tries to continue working, it just isn’t the same as a whole functioning body is it?
Ah what an amazing way to look at it !!! For we are all made of such immense value. We are all a different part of the body, that if we are not working within our giftings and place in the Kingdom, the body (Church) will be out of step and place as well. For we are called to use what the Lord has indwelt with us, being good stewards of the amazing gifts within ourselves.
However many of us seem to dwell more on what we lack rather than embracing the indwelling we have. Many of us look at what others have and long for what they do, their talents, their giftings and strengths rather than the amazing ones that you, yourself half. The more that we focus on lack instead of our abundance, we are no functioning properly within our calling and giftings. We are weakening ourselves rather than strengthening our own area and talent.
As a body, Jesus calls us to come together as one. Firmly standing in our identity of who WE are in Christ. Who He has made us to be, Who he has called us to be and working within the giftings He has placed in us-not others. For we are supposed to work together as one, within our own unique giftings to bring forth the full body of Christ in every aspect. For each part of the body is of such value and so important. For a functioning body to work, it must be working fully in it’s place, bringing forth all that is what created for-to fulfill it’s purpose.
“…I belong to the Lord. Therefore I urge you who have been choosen by God to live up to the life to which God call you.” Ephesians 4:1
Don’t put others on a pedastool for when doing so, you place others before yourself. Don’t put down your giftings and never put anyone above you for we are all equal, just playing different parts. When we put others before ourselves or seek what they have, we are neglecting what we ourselves hold. We are not fulfilling what we were placed on this earth to do. We put down our giftings instead of strengthening them. Don’t look outwards for when doing so, we neglect what we have inwards to contribute outwards.
“Only let each person lead the life that the Lord has assigned to him, and to which God has called him. This is my rule in all the churches.” 1 Corinthians 7:17
Repeat after me:
I am wonderfully and uniquley made. I have a purpose in which no one else has. I was made perfectly with everything I need to fulfill God’s destiny for my life and His will. I do not lack anything for I am completely whole in Christ. I will use my giftings and talents to serve the body. I will strengthen all that has been indwelt with me to step into who I am. I will no longer seek what others have or look at what I think I need, for I am exactly who God intended me to be.
May you begin to seek Jesus to reveal to you (if you don’t already know) you’re giftings and strengths. Seek godly men and women around you, who know you and can also affirm to you, talents and strengths. May we serve the King as one body, being thankful for what we have been entrusted with and stewarding all of it with great intent-allowing ourselves to be used for all that we are capable of. May we be faithful stewards for our King who has freely given all of Himself onto us to bring forth into this world- all running this race together to bring Him glory, honour and praise through our lives. Begin to strengthen all that you have been given, for you lack nothing. Know who you are and stand in that, bringing to the table yourself-for the world needs YOU-not another copy of someone else.
“The whole body depends on Christ, and all the parts of the body are joined and held together. Each part does its own work to make the whole body grow and be strong in love.” Ephesians 4:16
