As I stand in the garden, surrounded by the beauty of new life; growing and living. plants that are bearing much fruit as the Sun shines down upon them. Infront of me is a seed being planted and as I watch it, it begins to grow-moment by moment growing from a sprout into an oak. As the trunk grows and roots dig deeper, the branchs begin to grow; becoming fuller and bearing much fruit.I stand in awe as before me stands a tree, continually growing, moving and actively living. My heart is overwhelmed as I realize this is the tree of life; the Kingdom of God.
For just as in Mark 4:31-32 Jesus explains “the Kingdom of God is like a mustard seed, the smallest seed you plant in the ground, but when planted, this seed gros and becomes the largest of all garden plants. it produces large branches and the while birds can make nests in its shade”
For a tree to be fully grown, it takes time and lot’s of care, nourishment and investment. The earth restoring to God’s glorious Kingdom is a process. However it is beautiful to see that it is being grown by those who come along side of Jesus to allow His work to be completed by bringing them into His presence(immersing them into the tree of life) For if Jesus is eternal life (John 17:3) then as He is also the tree that brings life, when we remain in Him we too shall recieve this everlasting life. Jesus died on the cross to start the process of restorating creation back to it’s glorious state. Just as a seed needs to be planted for the tree to grow, the seed of the Kingdom of God has already been planted, the fruit of the tree and branches are growing and filling out as the process is being worked out by those who are investing it’s seed, watering and reaping of it’s fruit.
The tree is growing as those who are willing to take part of the Kingdom join into the tree, enlarging it, strengthening it and rooting it into the earth. The point of living on earth is not to wait to be removed from this place but to allow the restoration of the Kingdom of God on earth to be fulfilled.
“your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”Matthew 6:10
By being a Kingdom bringer-we are to bring the Kingdom of God here to earth-enlarging the tree of life, joining into it’s branches as Jesus Himself is the vine(root) and branch. (John 15) By remaining in Him, coming into the tree of life (the Kingdom) we are to be fruitful and heirs of His Kingdom.
“Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”John 15:4
May where you stand, begin to bring the Kingdom of Heaven down and allow the goodness of the Lord to work in and through you-transforming you to transform others. That you would take your place as a hier and find your place within the tree of life-bearing much fruit as you remain in Christ your Lord as He continues His process of restoring the world back to His glory and resting place.
“Now if we are children, then we are heirs–heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.” Romans 8:17
