I am coming to see that although I am going through being refined by His fire, being purified. I continue to question the Lord and these troubles, the trials and testings that I am being put through for my faith. I am humbly reminded that the choices I have made have brought me away from who He desires me to be and now that I am willing-He is working out everything for His own good. He is completing His will within me and working through me, removing all darkness to fill me completely with His light and truth.
“now may God himself, the God of peace, make you pure, belonging only to him. May your whole self-spirit, soul and body-be kept safe and without fault when our Lord Jesus Christ comes. You can trust the One who calls you to do that for you” 1 Thessalonians 5:23-24
when we pray that the Lord would make us whole with Him, that we surrender ourselves, that He would lead us to His cross-even singing those songs, I believe most of the time we don’t realize the power that can stand behind our words when speaking them. That is why in Aames it talks about controlling the tounge and the words we speak, for we don’t realize that out of all things, our words are eternal and hold power when spoken. When praying, it isn’t about the amount of words that we can think of to speak, but speaking truthfully from our hearts, and when asking realizing that we will recieve.
God desires to renew us completely, to perfect us back into the image that He created us to be. He sent Jesus to die as a sacrifice for the one thing seperating us from God, our sins. Now as Jesus was the once and for all atonment for our sins, it is our choice as to allow the working of the Holy Spirit within us (once recieving Christ as saviour) to complete purifying us and restoring us back to His perfect creation.
“Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonias 5:16-18
God’s will for us is that we may continue to give thanks, praise and worship Him, to see Him as the one in which all comes from-and everything is working for His goodness, to be restored and brought back to being pure and complete with God’s glory. May you realize that God is good, He desires His will to be complete and for His glory to be seen through all. May you allow the working and transformation of the Holy Spirit to be completed through you, keep your eyes fixed on the Lord.
