to each their own

“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15 To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16 The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17 So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18 But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

19 “After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20 The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’

21 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

22 “The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’

23 “His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

24 “Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25 So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’

26 “His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27 Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

28 “‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. 29 For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 30 And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ Matthew 25:14-30

The Lord has entrusted us with beautiful talents, each one of us has a unique qift in which He desires us to use, strengthen and bless those around us with as we allow the Holy Spirit to work through us to our fullest ability. As the body of Christ (the church) we all have beautiful giftins that enable us to work together as one to bring glory to the Lord.

“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead,do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.” Romans 12:3-8

The Lord is a creator, He creates to bring Himself glory. He desires us to use what He has entrusted with us – to strengthen and grow within our giftings to honour Him within His body. Just as the servants were given gold – He was pleased by those who used what He entrusted them with. He doesn’t desire us to sit back and wait for Him to return but to live with what He has given us and through it, presenting before Him more than He has given us.

May you seek to discover the gifts the Lord has indwelt within you-whatever they may be, strengthen them. Do not dwell on your weaknesses and what you feel you may lack, but be confident in the things that the Lord has entrusted you with. Be a servant of the Lord who does everything through the power of Christ so as the day comes where we stand before the King of Kings and hear Him announce

Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things” Romans 12:21

I know at the end of my time here on earth, I desire to stand before the Lord and hear Him announce how please He is with me. That I may honour Him everyday of my life in everything I do. I pray that I would never conform to the ways of the world but would always be a unique original that the Lord created me to be. For the Lord has given me beautiful gifts, He has given you the same. May you ask, seek and knock at the Kingdom of Heaven, allowing the Holy Spirit to reveal to you if you do not know, the giftings He has placed within you, waiting to be used to their fullest potential. For I believe the Lord, desires us to be a generation aware and founded in our giftings so that we may come together as a body of unity to show the world what humans empowered by a divine being looks like. that we may show the world what they are longing for in all the wrong places-that they too are people whom our gracious Lord loves just as much as us but are just unaware of the greatness to which they are called too. But that through seeing a generation of spirit led people-they may rise up to their callings.

The Lord needs empowered followers working within their divine giftings to reveal the Lords glory to the world who has not yet seen His presence.

Whether it be mu126171227031309442_OKE59nlA_csic, drawing, writing, singing, speaking, serving-whatever your giftings may be, no longer neglect them. For when working within our giftings it will be effortless in the sense that the Holy Spirit will be empowering us through them. Also be reminded that each person was uniquly created, no two persons are the same – the Lord meets each of us where we are and as we are willing will bring us to where He desires us to be.

“When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, ‘I used everything you gave me.”Emma Bombeck

Oh Lord , thank you for the beautiful giftings you have indwelt within me-may I, through your Holy Spirit use them to their fullest potential and bring you the glory and honour you deserve. May you have all the glory and honour.
