facing your giants

Everyone faces a different challenge in their lives, everyone has a different battle they are facing, whether it be drug addiction, fear or the unknown, insecurities, self-doubt maybe even disbelief. The list could go on, and maybe today you feel that whatever you struggle with seems as if it’ll always be there. And I can tell you, it won’t be. God has given us victory over sin through Jesus Christ, and as we continually choose Him, we will walk further away from the things that are keeping us from Him.

I’m sure you’ve heard the story of David and Goliath, david was just a young boy with a huge challenge ahead. Yet he trusted in God and God brought him out victorious, he faced his giant head on and through Gods power, defeated it. We too can become victorious over the giants in our lives, those standing in the way of happiness, joy, and freedom. However, we will face many other challenges in our lives, but as we stay faithful through each one, they will begin to seem smaller and smaller as our God is so great.

As we read “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 the purpose is not to run when facing our problems but to stand strong in what we know and the promises God has given us. We are armed in His armour, and it has no back padding, have you ever wondered why? It’s becaue when we are standing with God, we have nothing to fear, nothing to run from, nothing to turn our back to .We can stand strong, we can stand fearless with the Lord God Almighty.

May today you be reminded of His great promises and whatever giants you are facing in your life, daily give them up to God and let Him bring you our victorious.

“But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” 1 Corinthian 15:57
